Contact Amazon Stones either by phone at (510)232-9200 or by email at info@amazonstones.com . Upon contacting us, you will be assigned a Sales Representative who will assist you through your project from start to finish.
Free Measurement
Your Amazon Stones Sales Representative will schedule a free in-home estimate to establish the square footage of stone needed for your kitchen or bathroom. Please keep in mind that the sales representative will be measuring your current countertops and that the final square footage will be determined by our Templating Department. You can also send drawings and we will be able to estimate total square footage of material and labor.
Stone Selection
Your Sales Representative will schedule a convenient time for you to visit our showroom or any other stone showroom that is convenient for you. In this phase, you will be able to find your stone, coordinate backsplashes, find sinks, faucets, edge detail, etc. As a result, we can create an estimate that fits your budget and lifestyle. Keep in mind that the estimate is flexible and will change with any new choice of product.
Estimate
Your Sales Representative will either meet with you, e-mail or fax to you an estimate based on your choices. Once you have agreed to the estimate and estimate contract, you must hand select your stone. At this point we require that your material is paid so we can have it delivered and stored to avoid delays. The contract should be signed by both parties and dates to perform the job pre-established.
Schedule Template and Installation
After we receive your deposit and the estimate has been finalized, we will schedule your template and installation. On average, it will be 7 days after templates to have your stone is installed.
Demolition and Template
On the day scheduled, our demolition crew will come to remove you older countertops and make templates of your new countertops. On that day, new plywood might be installed. It is very important that you remove all items (toaster, coffee maker, microwave, etc.) that are currently placed on your existing tops. If you are planning on changing the shape or dimensions of your new countertops on your existing cabinets, then it is imperative that you are there on site for any questions our templator may have. If you are purchasing a new sink from someone other than Amazon Stones, we ask that you have it available for our templator to take back to our shop. Our installers will bring the sink with them on the day of the install.
Layout and Final Price
The final price will be calculated based on measurements taken at templating. We will also verify the stone, sink and edge selected. If the stone selected has multiple colors and grain, we invite our clients to come and do layout. This is when you can select specific parts of your slabs to be used for your countertops.
Install
Preparation – We recommend that you empty all cabinets and drawers before our install crew arrives. Granite installation can create a lot of dust! Our installers will do their best to control dust with vacuums, but we do advise you to remove or cover any items that can be affected by dust.
Access – Because Granite is extremely heavy, it is important that your installers have clear access to entry ways.
Sinks, Cooktops and Faucets – Drop-in sinks and cooktops will be cut on site and whenever possible they will be cut outside or in the garage area. Undermount sinks will be cut and polished at our facility. Please have ready any faucets, soap dispensers or hot water taps that need to be drilled into your countertops.
Custom Backsplashes – If your kitchen has full height or riser bar backsplashes there might be a chance that they will be measured the day the countertops are installed. Two to three days after the countertops are installed, an Amazon Stones installer will return to install your custom backsplash. Electrical boxes should be pulled out by your electrician to accommodate 1-1/4” depth.
Cleaning and Sealer Treatment
After installation is complete, your countertops and backsplashes will be cleaned and a professional sealer will be applied. We recommend that you repeat the sealing process every year if you have natural stone in your countertops, showers and floor.
Final Payment
Once your install is complete, we require final balance in the form of cash, check or credit card. ENJOY!
